How do I add my first transaction?
To add your first transaction, open MoneyLog and tap the "+" button. Choose whether it's income or expense, enter the amount, select a category, and add any notes. Tap "Save" to record the transaction.
Is my financial data secure?
Yes, absolutely. We use end-to-end encryption to protect your data. We never store bank account information or passwords - only the transaction data you manually enter. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I sync my data across multiple devices?
Yes, your data automatically syncs across all your devices when you're signed in with the same account. Changes made on one device will appear on all your other devices.
How do I create custom categories?
Go to Settings > Categories, then tap "Add Category". Enter the category name, choose a color, and select whether it's for income or expenses. Your new category will be available when adding transactions.
Can I export my data?
Yes, you can export your transaction data as a CSV file. Go to Settings > Export Data, choose your date range, and tap "Export". The file will be saved to your device or shared via email.
What if I accidentally delete a transaction?
Deleted transactions can be recovered within 30 days. Go to Settings > Trash to view and restore deleted transactions. After 30 days, deleted transactions are permanently removed.
Is MoneyLog really free?
Yes, MoneyLog is completely free to download and use. All core features including transaction tracking, charts, and reports are available at no cost. We believe everyone should have access to good financial tools.
How do I set up budget goals?
Go to the Budgets tab and tap "Create Budget". Set spending limits for different categories and time periods. MoneyLog will track your progress and notify you when you're approaching your limits.
